Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc is seeking an outgoing and energetic person who will be responsible for all aspects of raising support from foundations, corporations and government sources requiring written proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects. Perform prospect research and produce donor profiles; target ask amounts,prioritize and evaluate prospects for corporate, foundation and government grants. Develop and foster relationships with funders: find personal connections with donors that will ensure the attention of funders. Generate proposals for projects and programs. Write proposals, budgets, reports and other materials. manage grants by tracking, developing internal reporting writing reports; maintaining records and ensuring each project or program meet proposal conditions and expectations. Essential Duties: * Coordinate capital campaign and maintain donor database * Research foundation databases and Internet to identify potential funders. * Draft and send correspondence (appeal letters, marketing material, donor recognition) * Identify fund-raising opportunities, maintain due dates, document progress and initiate final reports. * Will develop relationships with staff of grant-making organizations and gather necessary information for funding applications. * Will solicit businesses and community organizations for sponsorships and other special event support. Must have strong editing skills Ability to meet deadlines Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals Knowledge of fund-raising information sources Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors Knowledge of basic fund-raising techniques and strategies

Individual should be qualified in Non Profit Accounting Procedures as well as corporate procedures. He/she will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports. Audit financial reports for compliance and review to ensure there are no discrepancies. Will primarily maintain and audit Organization financial records, oversee budget and financial management. Seeking an individual with knowledge of In-kind donations, matching funds, and volunteer hours. Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention and budget development. Primarily this individual will be responsible for providing audited financials as requested when applying for grants and other financial resources. Recommend budget adjustments and create/maintain annual budget. Will provide audited financial report for grant proposals. Prepare cash flow forecasts. Prepare monthly analysis of budget to actual and forecasts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field CPA Certification Experience with QuickBooks Experience with Non-Profit and IRS filings Qualifications: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Dynamic detail oriented personality with a strong sense of urgency around details and deadlines. Able to prioritize workload and exhibit sound judgment in sensitive situations and/or materials. Creative thinker with a proven ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems efficiently while maintaining confidentiality

Chosen Abilities Resource Center, Inc. is a growing organization, positively affecting the lives of Dekalb County and surrounding counties and now expanding to our new location, Huntsville, Alabama. Our services are dedicated to the homeless and low-income children and families, women and children escaping domestic violence and immigrants and refugees. Our mission is to strengthen and unify communities through Empowerment, Encouragement and Education. Board Members will serve to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership , fiscal development and general promotion of the Organization as to support its mission and needs. Board Member Duties: * To participate actively in fundraising. * Assist in resource development identifying potential donors or funding sources. * Must be able to contribute by (Give or Get) $2,500 annually either by individual donation or corporate solicitations. Individuals will be passionate about Chosen Abilities Resource Center and possess a track record of board leadership. Person will have experience with leadership in business, government, philanthropy or the non profit sector.
