Mission Statement

Power And Light Workers Support Foundation is an all-volunteer charitable organization dedicated to providing aid to disabled and fallen electrical utility workers and their families.

Description

Power And Light Workers Support Foundation (PLWSF) was founded in June 2013 by Mike Vallone, Bill Neetz and Craig Williams.

Mike Vallone retired in 2012 following a 34-year career as a lineman, troubleshooter, chief lineman, upgraded foreman and equipment operator for a major east coast electric utility. As a power industry veteran, Mike is acutely aware of the hardships endured by injured and fallen linemen and their families.

Mike and Craig have been friends for 37 years. In that time, the two have talked about Mike's fellow linemen and others in the electrical utility industry who had suffered disabling injuries or lost their lives on the job. Mike and Craig became aware that there was no widespread effort dedicated to helping these individuals and their families.

In 2012, Mike was forced to take early retirement due to a disabling injury. It was at that time that he and Craig enlisted the help of their friend Bill Neetz and together they have formed PLWSF - an all-volunteer organization dedicated to aiding electrical utility workers in need.

Our scholarships, financial support and outreach programs will let these workers and their families know that they haven't been forgotten.
