Mission Statement
The MISSION of Positive Impact is to facilitate culturally competent mental health and prevention services for people affected by HIV. Positive Impact is a community-based, volunteer driven organization that supports the continuum of HIV care in metro Atlanta by providing a comprehensive array of mental health services to individuals, groups, and families affected by HIV.
Description
Our services are provided by Positive Impact staff, volunteer mental health care professionals, & graduate student interns from local universities. Volunteer mental health service providers (Masters level & above are needed to provide supervision to Positive Impact interns; pro bono individual and/or group therapy to Positive Impact clients; and training and/or consultation in an area of concentration. Supervision support is available, as well as FREEcontinuing education training programs to increase knowledge of HIV-related mental health issues as needed.
Non-clinical volunteers can assist the organizations efforts (as needed) by donating service in marketing, graphic design, fundraising/event planning, database management, administrative & clerical tasks and additional areas of expertise.
