Mission Statement

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian, uniformed, all volunteer component of "Team Coast Guard."

We promote recreational boating safety in all 50 states by teaching boating safety courses, providing complimentary vessel examinations, and maintaining contact with marinas and other boating facilities.

We assist the US Coast Guard in its non-law enforcement missions directly by performing marine and air safety patrols, assisting with search and rescue and marine environmental protection missions.

Description

Flotilla 10-08 is a small but highly trained and extremely active Flotilla located twenty minutes from Manhattan in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Our members are from all walks of life. We have teachers, lawyers, tradesman, and even law enforcement personnel on board. We are of all age groups and have diverse ethnicity
