Mission Statement

At Compass Women’s Alliance, we believe that talking is essential to healing. We recognize the importance of using communication to work through difficult emotions and experiences. Sometimes all we need is a friend. At Compass Women’s Alliance, we strive to forge bonds and to create a space to help women in North Texas cope, recover, and feel empowered.

Description

At Compass Women's Alliance, our goal is to get women talking and help them find their voices. We provide a variety of services that facilitate conversation, because we believe that talking is essential to healing.

We host Group Coffee Talks for women of similar backgrounds and experiences. With no set agenda, women share stories, make new friends, and enjoy a cup of coffee. We also organize Individual Coffee Talks for women who desire a more private interaction.

Compass Women's Alliance also has a volunteer therapist matching program where we mobilize volunteer counselors to see Compass ladies free of charge. Additionally, we provide immigration legal services to undocumented women and families.

Finally, we organize several Empowerment Programs to encourage personal growth. These include a variety of services, such as ESL, financial literacy, etc.
