Description

GEDC has assisted in getting an affordable housing down payment assistance program for first time homebuyers building a new home. We assisted in the purchase of real estate to form a new housing subdivision. We collaborated in order to have abandoned buildings removed from our main street. We wrote a grant to assist the community in a intergenerational Visioning process. We have been able to leverage grant awards to purchase planters and benches, playground equipment, and start a youth gardening program. We have also been involved with promoting sun safety and recycling/beautification projects.
