The American Lung Association is the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States. Since 1 904, the American Lung Association has worked to fight lung disease by helping people quit smoking, funding research, improving indoor and outdoor air quality, and educating millions about asthma. The American Lung Association achieves its many successes through the work of thousands of committed volunteers and staff.
