Mission Statement
Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas (BHSST) continues as a 501 c3 non-profit organization dedicated to its mission statement:
"Behavioral Health Solutions of South Texas aims to reduce substance abuse and related co-existing conditions in our communities, encourage healthier lifestyle related to at risk public health behavior, and promote stronger families through multi-level prevention, education, interventions and treatment. A multilevel approach includes age appropriateness, cultural relevancy, and language relevancy in an environment that is research and outcome basked. BHSST aims to be a leader in the development of resources appropriate to its communities."
BHSST is reflective of the growth and representation of the region from its’ initial foundation in 1991 serving a tri-county area to currently serving nineteen counties of South Texas in DSHS Region 11 with an expansion of behavioral health services.
