Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance

Description

As of June, 2003, Terpsicorps Theatre of dance became North Carolina's summertime professional contemporary ballet company. Terpsicorps hires in critically acclaimed dancers from such well respected dance companies as Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, BalletMet, Kansas City Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet. A summer season from June to mid-August gives Terpsicorps the chance to introduce it’s innovative style of dance to the citizens of Asheville and Winston-Salem. As well, in Sept. 2015 Terpsicorps will extend it's mission in the opening of an all new dance studio for children ages preschool through eighteen. The Academy at Terpsicorps hopes to serve the community of Asheville by offering world class dance training and education to Asheville, NC.
