T o reach out and educate the public on the appropriate health care and general well-being of companion parrots. To find homes for displaced companion parrots through our adoption program. The Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue and Education (C.A.A.R.E.) is an all-volunteer North Dakota non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation devoted to the welfare of companion parrots. The organization is family oriented in nature, and both individual and family memberships are available. The organization is dedicated to teaching the public about companion parrots. Requests for on-site visits to schools, nursing homes, and any other venue are welcomed.
We welcome persons interested in learning about companion parrots or adopting companion parrots placed into our care.
Our mission to find suitable adoptive homes for these parrots is taken quite seriously. If you have a parrot that you need to re-home, or if educational meetings and/or possible adoption appeal to you, or if you already have companion parrots and would simply like to be in the company of folks with like interests, please check us out!
Although North Dakota is our home, we welcome the opportunity to extend our services to any area we are able and would be happy to hear from anyone sharing our interest in the care of companion parrots, wherever located. If you would like to follow us on Facebook, take a look at our CAARE ND page where we post photographs of new arrivals, adoptions, and more!
