Who We Are
NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region (NeighborWorks HOCSR) NeighborWorks HOCSR has been serving people in the community and neighborhoods of Sacramento City and County since 1987. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), organized by a partnership of residents, area businesses and the public sector for the purpose of accomplishing neighborhood revitalization.
We are a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and a Housing Counseling Agency, approved by HUD.
We are a chartered member of NeighborWorks America, a member of the National Campaign for HomeOwnership, and are nationally certified to provide Full Cycle Lending.
Our Beliefs
NeighborWorks HOCSR believes that strong, thriving communities help residents enjoy a better quality of life, and homeownership, education, and leadership support healthy communities. We are dedicated to respectful, productive, and dependable service that empowers individuals to affect positive change for themselves, their families, and their neighbors. Home ownership builds a sense of pride and responsibility, in addition to creating economic growth and increased stability for the family and the neighborhood.
