Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Edgewood Fire/EMS is to provide Prevention, Protection, and Education to the citizens of our community against Fire, Medical Emergency, and Threats to Life and Property

Description

The Edgewood Fire/EMS is staffed primarily with volunteers, supplemented by paid staff during the day as well as a full-time Lieutenant and Firefighter/Paramedic which work a rotating 24/48 shift. Volunteers cover shifts Sunday through Friday 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Saturday, 12 midnight to 6:00 a.m. and most holidays.

The Edgewood Fire/EMS operates 1 - Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, 2 - class A pumpers, 1 - 100 foot Aerial Tower, 1 - Rescue/Pumper, and various other staff vehicle for service calls and personnel transportation.
