Description

With over 900 acres, including the bay’s largest marine preserve, the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary, located in Tiburon, California, provides a feeding and resting spot for tens of thousands of migratory birds, as well as a breeding ground for leopard sharks and other marine species. Moreover, it provides unparalleled public access to the mudflats and shoreline of Richardson Bay in an area otherwise dominated by the developed and heavily populated communities of southern Marin.

Since its inception in 1960's, the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary has welcomed and inspired thousands of children and families with its natural wonders. Audubon's Mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

Richardson Bay Audubon is a center and sanctuary of Audubon California and the National Audubon Society.
