Join us in the gardens of the California Nursery Historical Park every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00. We maintain five distinct, historic gardens: the rose garden, a succulent garden, a shade garden, raised beds, and The Woods. There are seasonal activities to keep our gardens looking beautiful and free of pesticides: weeding, raking, watering, planting, and pruning. Bring gloves, water, and your favorite garden tools. We also have gloves and tools to share. This park is located at Nursery Avenue and Niles Boulevard. The rose garden is on the right as you drive in. Park opposite the garden introduce yourself as a new volunteer to anyone who is working. Volunteers will be in the rose garden, the first you will see, or further along the path in the other gardens. Ages 14 and above, unless accompanied by a parent. Everyone must sign a liability waiver. The waiver will be emailed to you when indicate your interest.

Join us in the gardens of the California Nursery Historical Park for a day of service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 15. There are several historic gardens that are in need of care: rose garden, succulent garden, shade garden, The Woods, and raised bed garden. We do seasonal activities to keep our gardens looking beautiful: weeding, raking, watering, planting, and pruning. Bring gloves, water, and your favorite garden tools. We also have gloves and tools to share. This park is located at Nursery Avenue and Niles Boulevard. Introduce yourself as a new volunteer to anyone who is working. We will be in the rose garden, the adjacent cactus garden, in the lawn area, or in the gardens further north. Students working for volunteer hours are welcome. We will verify your school and community service hours.

Our volunteers maintain the display gardens of the California Nursery Historical Park Please join us to maintain the rose garden, the shade garden, the succulent garden, The Woods, the raised beds, and the grounds at the park for our loyal visitors. We are located at Niles and Nursery Blvds. in the Niles section of Fremont. You will be weeding, mulching, raking and other seasonal tasks, weather permitting. All levels of gardening experince are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing, including close-toed shoes, and bring water. We have gloves and tools to share, and we will train you! If you prefer, you may bring your own tools. There are water bottle refilling stations in the park.
