MDA is the world's largest non-governmental sponsor of research seeking the causes of and effective treatments for neuromuscular diseases, sponsoring some 400 research projects annually

Description

The MDA is a voluntary national health agency - a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned cititzens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americas. Our local MDa office, one of more than 200 nation-wide, is available to serve anyone with one of the neuromuscular diseases. Energized by our national chairman, Jerry Lewis, who has been the Associations' number-one volunteer for more than 50 years, MDA today is one of the world's leading voluntary healdth agencies fostering research and medical care. The Association receives no government grants.
