Mission Statement
The Flemington Area Food Pantry is a volunteer organization founded in 1990 to provide food and personal care items to needy families of Hunterdon County regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background.
Description
The food we distribute comes from several sources:
• Individuals donate food at collection boxes, through food drives by local houses of worship, boy and girl scouts, and other organizations
• Local supermarkets donate food to the Pantry as do area farmers
• We receive food from federal and state agencies
• We purchase food with money raised through special events and donated by Hunterdon County, individuals and companies
Some of the food we distribute is purchased at low cost from Northwest New Jersey Community Action Partnership (NORWESCAP), the regional food bank which supports local food pantries in our region of New Jersey.
