"To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and to enhance care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers."

Description

The Alzheimer's Association, Southeast Florida Chapter is a local 501 (c)3 organization committed to helping the families of Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The Association provides a 24 hour HELPLINE offering crisis control, caring support, information and resources at 1 (800) 272-3900 locally and nationally. The Chapter also provides support groups, education, training and advocacy programs for more than 200,000 people in its area. The nationwide Alzheimer's Association Safe Return Wanderer's program for persons with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers is the organization's strongest safety measure, saving lives every day. The Association's dual mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and to enhance care and support for individuals, their families and caregivers.
