AARP is a national, non-profit and non-partisan membership organization that is headquarted in Washington, D.C. AARP has 53 state offices in every state in the United States in addition to offices in the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
AARP is a strong advocate in addressing the issues most important to the 50+ population. Whther it's promoting options for long-term care in Louisiana through home-and-communtiy based services, ensuring the solvency of Social Secruity, protecting against predatory lending, or working toward presecription drug coverage in Medicare, AARP volunteers are a powerful voice. They are working in the nation's capital, in state houses across the country, in courts advocating on behalf of AARP members and their families.
AARP offers a wealth of coomunity programs such as Tax-Aide, Driver Safety courses, Money Management bill payer services, Senior Employment training, Grandparent services, Prescription Affordability, Long-Term Care and Health initiatives among others.
