Description

CROWN is the Charlotte Chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. We have an all volunteer staff and work daily to help people connect with nature. We promote wildlife habitats, sustiainable landscaping, native plants, reducing turf and replacing with natural areas, connecting kids with the wonders of nature, and providing an informative website.

We have a Leadership Team who have various skills but most of all have a passion for nature and a desire to help others understand the importance of nature in our daily lives.

We offer free community programs on the third Thursday of each month, September through May. Information about our past programs are available on our website. Our programs range from speakers, to nature films, to workshops like building Owl nesting boxes, walking tours of nature preserves, and helping people create backyard wildlife habitats.

In February, 2015, we certified the City of Charlotte as a "Wildlife Friendly Community" through a program by the National Willdife Federation.

Our Charlotte programs take place at McClintock Middle School, 1925 Rama Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212
