Mission Statement

Interfaith Sanctuary provides a safe overnight emergency shelter for up to 164 men, women and families with children. Our Supportive Services Team help guests identify and set goals that will lead to a successful transition out of homelessness.

Description

Interfaith Sanctuary provides year-round emergency shelter and supportive services for men, women and families with children. Located in downtown Boise, Idaho, Sanctuary shelters over 110 individuals each night. Case management services are offered for guests to help them address barriers to homelessness.

Beginning in 2005, Interfaith Sanctuary operated an emergency winter shelter for two seasons and served over 700 men, women and children. In the fall of 2007, Sanctuary was able to purchase a 10,200 sq. foot building in downtown Boise and open for year-round shelter and supportive services on November 1, 2007. In the first several months of operations, Sanctuary has served over 400 individuals and has operated at near capacity each night.

Our partners include El-Ada Community Action Partnership, The Interfaith Alliance of Idaho and the Interfaith Religious Leaders Network, Catholic Charities of Idaho, and Corpus Christi House.
