Forward March: To provide a transitional housing program where veterans at risk of homelessness and suicide have the opportunity to participate in a unique path to wellness & independence through individualized healing, hope and personal development.
Description
"Forward March"
There are currently over 22 million veterans in the U.S. A significant portion of these veterans have "slipped through the cracks" and face issues such as unemployment, dissolving of the family & other support systems, homelessness, substance abuse, mental health issues, PTSD, depression, and isolation, as well serious economic hardships affecting themselves and their families. Upon returning, and even years later, many veterans feel alone, angry and disconnected from society in general. As a consequence, they will drift without hope, passion, or direction, with a rising number of veterans at risk of homelessness, hopelessness and more frightening contemplating and or attempting suicide. What we are doing as a nation, is just not working. It is up to those of us, working in the trenches, offering 1:1 support to at risk veterans to figure out what works and fill in those gaps. "Forward March" has created a unique program that is 100% developed for the individual. This approach is what puts us in a league by ourselves, and a lifesaving, long term solution to homelessness and hopelessness. We extend grace, hope, and opportunity for healing and personal development with life transforming results to these deserving men and women who have sacrificed so much.
