Mission Statement

Sweet Dreamzzz is a nonprofit organization committed to educating school-age children on the importance of sleep. Our programs provide both sleep education and the bedtime essentials necessary for a child to better achieve a good night's sleep.

Description

Sweet Dreamzzz Detroit brings a sleep education program to at-risk children, grades pre-k through 5th at their elementary schools. The goal is to teach them how to get a good night's sleep and let them know why it is so important. Better sleep = better learning. All qualifying students receive a bedtime kit containing a sleeping bag, nightshirt, tote, toothbrush, toothpaste, beanie baby, socks, a R.E.M.(Rest. Educate.Motivate) Sleep booklet and crayons. Schools qualifying for the sleep kit are chosen based on the State's free hot lunch ratings.
