Jefferson Middle School

Description

Jefferson Middle serves a diverse student body, grades 6-8. Outside of the standard academic cirriculum, the school offers an array of extra-cirricular and support-minded activities during and after the school day. Two highlighted programs are the Schools of Hope tutoring program (during and after school) and the after-school homework and recreation program, commonly referred to as "Jefferson After-School." Underlying these programs is the philosophy that students benefit most from a supporting, well-rounded approach to education involving not only academic instruction, but lessons cultivating discipline and fostering physical, emotional, and social growth.
