Mission Statement

The Young Gardeners Program is a volunteer initiative created by the Greater Los Angeles/Inland Empire CivicSpark team located in Alhambra, CA. CivicSpark is a program dedicated to building capacity for local governments to address climate change.

Description

The Young Gardeners Program aims to bring environmental education to local youth by engaging them in gardening. The program partners with pre-existing kids day camps to bring 1-2 hour workshops teaching about home sustainability, agriculture, and plant care. Current day camps we are collaborating with are in the cities of Redlands, Covina, and San Gabriel.
