Mission Statement

Thank you for your interest in Beauty's Haven Farm. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Florida.

Our purpose is to help as many equine friends as possible that are in need. We network with individuals and other rescue organizations. We also work to educate others about horse slaughter in an effort to make it, and transporting horses for slaugher, illegal - not just in the United States, but in Canada, Mexico, and other countries.

Description

Horses at our farm come from auctions, kill buyers, brokers, and some come from owners that no longer want them or can no longer care for them. Some come from caring owners that want to ensure that their beloved horse finds a good home. Getting a horse here is just the beginning - the care that follows is never ending. Sometimes we pay to get the horse out of its desperate situation and then pay to transport the horse to our rescue. This alone is costly. Some have been neglected and/or abused and once they are here safe, they are in need of vet, farrier, and dental care which is also costly. Then come the expenses that come with every horse; feed, wormers, etc. We also offer assitance in times of natural disasters.

We can not do this alone. We need assistance from caring individuals, groups, and businesses.

At Beauty's Haven Farm and Equine Rescue, the abused, neglected and defeated are restored to health; physically, mentally and emotionally. Upon their arrival they are given a kiss and hug, they are told they are important. A great team of doctors and volunteers, with the guidance of Theresa begin their rehabilitation process by addressing their individual needs. Soon their transformation is evident. At Beauty's Haven the horses are treated with respect and dignity. The commitment to their well being extends to those that have been adopted. At Beauty's Haven we strive to ensure their presents and futures are happy and healthy. Their needs are first and foremost at all times. At Beauty's Haven you are family...every one is gentle, kind, sympathetic, empathetic and happy ...a true family. Join the family and help the horses in need.

Theresa is an extremely caring individual when it comes to horses. She does everything she can to save a life, including those severely abused. All of her horses love their life here.
