Mission Statement
The National Women's Political Caucus (NWPC) is a multi-partisan 501c4 grassroots membership organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in elected and appointed office at all levels of government.
Our mission is to identify, mentor, educate and support women leaders in our community who demonstrate a commitment to Women's Economic and Social Equality and Reproductive Freedom.
Description
The NWPC is a national organization formed in 1971 by great feminists like Gloria Steinem, Bella Abzug, Shirley Chisholm, and Betty Friedan.
The Washington State Chapter has been in existence since 1973 working to get more women elected to statewide office and as legislators, school board officers, port commissioners, and judges.
The organization organizes regular workshops, trainings, and events to identify and develop women leaders in our community, and endorses and supports feminist women candidates.
