We at the Skills Center are dedicated to providing challenging and meaningful educational, vocational and employment activities to homeless and very low-income adults in the San Francisco community. Our mission is to assist participants engage in learning through respectful and creative approaches that will enhance their quality of life and lead towards self-sufficiency.

Description

The Skills Center offers classes in beginning literacy, basic reading, writing & math, GED preparation, computer skills, art and critical thinkg, work/life skills, resume writing, job searches and vocational training. Instruction is learner-centered and non-traditional. Classes are small or one-on-one, open-entry, open-exit, offered year-round, and free of charge. Students must be homeless or very low-income to receive our services.
