Mission Statement

The mission of the Jimmy Fund Council of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts is to provide continuous and meaningful support to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for their ongoing advancements in the fields of cancer research and treatment. This is accomplished through engaging volunteer participation, promoting fund-raising efforts and increasing public awareness of our Council and the Jimmy Fund. Our success is measured by the enrichment of the quality of life for each and every cancer patient.

"The purpose of each Jimmy Fund Council is to render service to the Jimmy Fund of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through volunter activities."

The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world.

The misson of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is to provide expert, compassionate care to children and adults with cancer while advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of cancer and related diseases.
