Mission Statement

The primary mission of this organization is to produce and disseminate to the public educational documentary videos, radio and televisoin programs and motion pictures.

Description

We are a video documentary company currently working on our first feature documentary, Genomania. Genomania is a look at the controversy surrounding contemporary genetic theory including its use to promote questionable therapies and medications. The film interviews scientists who question the dominant genetic model as being overly simplified and not fully understood.

These scientists challenge the view of other scientist in the university and corporate worlds who view genetics as the primary determinant of many, if not most, diseases and maintain an optimism that human life can be enhanced and diseases addressed through genetic engineering, manipulation and mapping of the human genome. This film is currently in the postproduction stage.

In addition to this primary project, we run a small art gallery and are in the process of organizing art classes, workshops and video screenings open to the general public.

We are also in have begun production on two additional documentaries, one concerning the attempts by Monsanto corporation to monopolize the seed business with genetically altered plants and the other focusing on the controversies surrounding factory poultry farms and their implications for rural political, social, economic and physical environments.
