Mission Statement

To protect and restore prairie and other native grassland communities through acquisition, management, education, and research.

Description

As of 2015, the Missouri Prairie Foundation is a 49-year-old membership organization that protects and restores prairie and other native grasslands through acquisition, management, education, and support of prairie research. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors. The organization owns more than 3,000 acres of prairie across the state and provides management services for prairies owned by conservation partners. The Missouri Prairie Foundation is also home to the Grow Native! native plant education program.
