Mission Statement

The mission of the Congregate Lunch Program is to provide nutritious lunch and nutrition education in order to maintain and improve health of seniors.

We also offer social, intellectual and physical activities, nutrition education and the opportunity to volunteer at a variety of fulfilling assignments.

Description

The Senior Congregate Lunch Program provides nutritious meals at group dining sites to seniors. The menus are reviewed by Registered Dietitians to meet the US Dietary Reference Intakes and are low in fat, sodium and cholesterol.

This program is funded in part by the Older Americans' Act and by donations from clients.

I am currently a student at NDNU in majoring in Human Service. My class this semester is senior seminar and I am required to work on project that can be completed by November. Is there anything that I can help with. I am bilingual in Spanish, and I have worked at Jefferson High School as a Liaison for the school.
