Mission Statement

To feed the hungry in Northern Michigan

Description

Manna Food Project helps feed the hungry in Antrim, Charlevoix, and Emmet counties in Northwest Michigan. Manna operates a food bank and distribution center, a weekly food pantry, a food rescue program, and the "Food 4 Kids" backpack program. Manna is a partner organization of the Feeding America Food Bank Network and is supported entirely through the generosity of our dedicated community members and volunteers.

In 2018, Manna distributed 1.7 million pounds of nutritious food to help feed 42,000 families. Join us as we turn hunger into hope.

Manna provides volunteers with diverse opportunities to support 50 local pantries and local meal sites in three northern Michigan counties—food rescue from area businesses, backpack deliveries to area schools, repackaging bulk food, board membership. The staff is friendly and highly professional.
