Communities In Schools Augusta/Richmond County

Description

We partner with the Richmond County Schools and various other nonprofits and companies to enable a student to continue their education so they are able to move forward. The middle school works with at least 10% of their enrollment so they will be prepared to move forward to high school and realize a success. Our Performance Learning Center (PLC) students are striving to complete school courses via the internet so they can ultimately graduate or return to their high school class to graduate with their classmates. While at the PLC, we also strive to shadow various companies, bring speakers in to share a workplace experience, see if the stident qualifies to have a double enrollment with technical schools or a university, and many other learning experiences while they are with us. While doing all the above we also are striving to help the student and family needs both inside and outside the classroom by connecting critical community resources.
