Who are we?

The Music Men , under the leadership of our director, John Hulbert, are a highly acclaimed choral ensemble specializing in close a cappella harmony, singing songs in a variety of styles including the genres of adult contemporary, jazz, pop, barbershop, gospel, and traditional choral music. We are a very active group performing for audiences throughout North San Diego County. In 2004, we celebrated our 50 th anniversary. The Music Men chorus has entertained thousands of people with an Annual show, Christmas and special holiday shows, as well as formal performances and informal sing-outs. The Music Men chorus is proud to claim an affiliation with the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, Inc) for more than half a century, For your entertainment needs The Music Men can tailor an entertainment package to fit your requirements, from a quartet delivering a birthday greeting or Singing Valentine to a small ensemble mini-performance to a complete Show Package, which includes chorus, quartets, staging, and Master of Ceremonies. Congenial men of good character from all walks of life, representing a wide age range, who are eager to acquaint you with our songs in the a cappella close harmony style. One thing you'll notice about our group is that we love to sing and perform; hence our slogan "We enrich lives through singing". And in that regard - If any of you men like to sing -can whistle a tune - warble in the shower - have a natural bent for harmony - please visit us at our regular Tuesday meeting for an evening of song and camaraderie. When and where do we meet?

The Music Men meet every Tuesday evening (excluding holidays) from 7:00 to 10:00 PM in Suite III at the California Center for the Arts, 340 N. Escondido Blvd. in Escondido. Visitors are always welcome.
