Mission Statement

Our mission statement is to provide education support and guidance to schools in Honduras by partnering them with Indiana teachers and schools in order to connect cultures and build a stronger education system.

Description

HETO brings Indianapolis teachers to Honduras for one week teacher outreach missions. We bring the 12 schools within our program teacher and student supplies as well as educational information and research. Each Indianapolis teacher designs a lesson to teach to the Honduran students as a way to model a new and teaching style for the Honduran teacher. In addition, we conduct professional development sessions between the two groups of educators.
