Pet fosters needed - short or long term

Fostering saves lives! Do you love dogs or cats? We are seeking volunteers who can foster a dog or cat in your home while it awaits vetting, adoption, or transport. Typical sitting time is a few days up to one week, or longer if you're able - depending on how long it takes us to get a vetting appointment and work out transport logistics. You must be age 21 or older to apply. If still living with your parents, they must be involved in the application process. We'll provide food, crates, bowls, and vet care. You provide a safe/secure environment where they can de-stress from shelter life. M4M relies on the fosters to tell us more about the cats/dogs - vital information that helps us seek forever homes for them. Must be comfortable handling dogs or cats (whichever you choose to foster). Huge plus but not mandatory if you are comfortable bathing dogs, crate training, housebreaking training, starting basic obedience training using positive motivation methods like Victoria Stillwell (see her videos on youtube). Typically you'll be asked to pick the pet up at a Morgantown vet office, and bring the pet to Morgantown to meet transports on Saturday mornings. If you can't do this we can work with you. We are looking for volunteers who want to become actively involved in the M4M rescue. Very rewarding work for animal-loving retirees! We do have low-key and senior dogs & cats needing foster homes. Fenced yard preferred for dogs if you are unable to regularly leash-walk for exercise. We do not allow our pets to go to dog parks! Foster cats must be kept indoors. All your current pets need to be spayed/neutered and current on vaccines.
