Mission Statement

to produce live public forums and public radio programs in the arts, humanities and sciences with the goal of fostering participatory democracy and community engagement

Description

Governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors with one part-time staff person, Cambridge Forum is located in the First Parish (Unitarian Universalist) in Cambridge in the heart of Harvard Square. Free public forums are presented weekly from September to May. Forums bring expert speakers into extended dialogue with the public audience on vital issues of the day. Topics range from the arts to science and technology. A weekly radio series is distributed nationally via National Public Radio. Programs are available via the Internet, as streaming webcasts or downloadable mp3 files, through the WGBH Forum Network.
