Mission Statement

To advocate for improving the health status of children while reducing health disparities in the Silicon Valley and its surrounding communities.

Description

The Pediatric Advocacy Program at Stanford provides a coherent structure for local advocacy efforts and community partnerships at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) and the Stanford University School of Medicine (SOM).
The advocacy program is designed to improve the coordination of child-focused advocacy activities and local programs underway at Stanford. The program strives to provide a critical base for developing new initiatives of national importance defining how a major pediatric center can support efforts to strengthen local, regional, and national child health programs and policies through innovative training and community-based partnerships.
