Mission Statement

To best understand the function of the Texas District and County Attorneys Foundation, it is important to look at the purpose of the Texas District and County Attorneys Association. The overall objective of TDCAA is to meet the following goals: 1.) Training and education of prosecutors and staff; 2.) Technical assistance to prosecutors and staff; and, 3.) Assistance and advice to other agencies and groups. The Texas District and County Attorneys Association strives, and succeeds, in serving and preparing prosecutors, advocating victims, and securing a safer Texas. The mission of the Texas District and Attorneys Association is to promote the improvement of prosecution and government representation in the State of Texas, by providing educational and technical assistance to prosecutors and their staffs, by providing educational and technical assistance to the law enforcement community, and by serving as a legislative resource in criminal law and government representation matters. The mission of the Texas District and Attorneys Foundation is to provide enduring support for the mission of TDCAA to improve prosecution and government representation in Texas thorough education and technical assistance, by seeking the resources and other assistance from all sources, including the community at large.

Description

The Texas District and County Attorneys Foundation was created in June, 2006 with the sole purpose of supporting the educational and training efforts of the Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA). The TDCAA boasts a membership of over 5000 members and offers over 50 training opportunities per year.
