Girl Outdoor Leadership Development is the heart of Ginger Cascades Adventure Base Camp. Guided by the Girl Scout Mission of building girls of COURAGE, CONFIDENCE and CHARACTER, Camp Ginger Cascades premier experience offers ALL girls, ages 5-17, the ultimate opportunity for thrill-seeking excitement!

This camp offers an unique life experience designed to help girls discover and develop themselves. What makes Ginger Cascades so special is the connection experienced with new friends, the support of well-trained staff and outdoor experiences that provide progression, challenge, and above all, FUN!

Description

Camp Ginger Cascades

Located in the beautiful foothills of western North Carolina, just outside Lenoir, Camp Ginger Cascades is one of three outdoor program properties operated by Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont. During summer months, Ginger Cascades offers overnight resident and day camp programs for girls ages 5-17. Girls do not have to be a Girl Scout to attend programs.

In addition to summer camping opportunities for individual girls, Ginger Cascades also provides an excellent year-round location and facilities for outside rentals including band camps, church retreats, family gatherings, school groups and troop camping.

Founded in 1963, Camp Ginger Cascades is infused with a passion for the outdoors and is dedicated to helping young girls and women become confident and strong leaders! Being an ACA-accredited camp means parents can rest assured their child will be safe, as they develop their courage, confidence and character - without even realizing it!
