The Bead Museum fosters the appreciation and understanding of the global historical, cultural and artistic significance of beads and related artifacts.

Description

The Bead Museum is Glendale is one of only 4 museums in the world dedicated to beads. With over 100,000 beads and related artifacts, The Bead Museum collects, preserves and interprets beads through exhibitions and educational programming. The collection spans the globe as beads are found in every culture. Our oldest bead is 15,000 years old.

Through docent led tours we serve over 4,000 local school children each year. We serve another 20,000+ through exhibitions and programs both in the Museum and off-site.
