The mission of the DMAX Foundation is to eliminate stigma and encourage safe and caring conversations about mental health issues and emotional pain in youth. You can help foster understanding, and perpetuate compassion towards young people all along the mental wellness spectrum, by starting a DMAX Club at your school.
DMAX Foundation was founded in August of 2013 by Lee and Laurie Maxwell in honor of their beloved son Dan. The foundation exists to foster a community of caring and support around mental and emotional struggles in our youth, and to eliminate stigma. DMAX Foundation is all about talking, reaching out, making one another comfortable to say what’s on our minds, even when it’s painful.
Please explore our information, stories of hope, and support. Find a conversation. Learn how you can help DMAX Foundation by volunteering, donating, or sponsoring a DMAX Foundation event. Learn how to start a DMAX Club at your college or high school. Or simply reach out, to a brother, a sister, a student, a child in need. Start talking. Support a friend. Open your heart and talk it out. Open your heart and listen.
Together we light the darkness.
