LGC assists local governments in developing and implementing policies and programs that help establish these key elements by: Facilitating conferences, regional workshops and other partnering opportunities; Producing guidebooks, videos, and monthly newsletters that share policy and project ideas; Providing an e-mail alert service that shares information on available state and federal grants.

Description

CivicSpark provides high-quality, support to local and regional governments, helping California communities pursue clean energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard against climate change impacts, and implement sustainable community strategies. Our 48 AmeriCorps members, located in 9 regions of California spend 11 months completing research, planning, and implementation activities, while simultaneously supporting volunteer engagement.

Local governments receive support on the projects that matter to them, while working towards state and local goals, and contributing to the broader climate change action.
