The mission of Foodprints is to promote betterlabeling of animal ingredients in food products, in order to protect the rightof consumers to make fully informed food-related buying decisions.

Description

Based on an examination of existingfood labeling guidelines under federal, state, and local law, Foodprints is developing policy recommendations for better labeling of animal-ingredients in packaged foods and in restaurants. Foodprints shall promote awareness of hidden animalingredients by delivering its recommendations to food-related businesses,governmental agencies, political groups, other organizations, and the public atlarge.
