Caring for a Cause is a local nonprofit that offers FREE HAIR CUTS AND STYLES quarterly for our homeless and low-income families and individuals within the community. We are reaching out to you today to see if you and your staff or students would be open to participating in our upcoming event in October. We are looking for barbers, hair stylists, nail-tech’s, MUA’s (make-up artists) and face painters to donate their time to a great cause. Also, our goal is to gain speakers to come out and donate their time to talk to our youth about proper etiquette and hygiene. We are also welcoming businesses to come out and have a free table to give out information about your program. (I.E. Operation Easter Basket Program : Donors and Sponsors are needed (volunteers are needed to assist with gaining donations, donors and sponsors) (volunteers are needed for the event) ___________________________ Greetings, Thanks for reaching out to adopt/sponsor a family for Easter this year. WE are super excited to know that there are people within our community that are open to assist families in need. Below you will find information about our Operation Easter Basket Program. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. All correspondences will be via email. You will be emailed the total number of families that you request. The email will include the individual or family’s application(s). There are different options for families this year. PROCESS FOR DROP OFF FOR BOTH HOLIDAYS We are asking that you shop and deliver the baskets to the chosen families. We will inform the families about their basket assembly time, or you can reach out to the family directly. We are asking that you follow-proper practices due to the pandemic procedures that have been implemented over the years and wear your mask. For safety reasons we are asking that the family meet you in a public place with good lighting or you take more than one person with you to drop the gifts off to the family. We are glad that you would like to join us again this year in making this holiday special for a family in need. If you are looking to sponsor a family for Easter this year, the cost will be approximately $150/per family(estimate) . DONATIONS OR SPONSORS There are two choices this year, you can either donate or adopt a family. Donor ü Donor will donate a gift card for children’s baskets ü Donor will donate a gift card for food (for food baskets) Sponsor ü Sponsor will purchase the children’s baskets ü Sponsor will purchase the food family/individual baskets Children(baskets) ü Easter basket ü Plastic Easter eggs to stuff with candy ü Easter candy ü Activity books ü Donated toys ü Toiletry items Family ü Easter food basket (can be a plastic container) * wrapping/ribbon ü Ham or chicken ü sack of potatoes ü green beans ü cream of mushroom soup ü box of French onions ü stuffing ü dessert (I.E., pie, cake, brownies, or cupcakes) Other option: spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, dessert Other option: food gift card ($150) Operation Easter Basket is a great service opportunity for anyone who wants to help out! Many baskets are assembled and distributed to low-income families in need. Each basket includes: Family basket: food for Easter day (meat, sides and dessert) Children baskets: toy, candy, activity book, toiletry items and an age-appropriate book Ages: Baskets: 0 to 3 Baskets: 3 to 6 Baskets: 7 to 11 Baskets: 12 to 14 For our Easter sponsorship program, all family members are asked to submit "wish lists." We ask that you ( sponsor) plan on spending approximately $80 to/$150/per family(based upon the purchase). You can choose the size of family you wish to sponsor based on your budget.
