Mission Statement

One Good Deed is a non profit organization that matches volunteers of all ages with older adults ro help support their independence within their own home.

Description

One Good Deed matches volunteers of all ages with an older adult to aid them with simple daily tasks. Our volunteers provide companionship and encouragement, and help with a variety of day-to-day activities. As a One Good Deed volunteer you might prepare a meal, spend a morning or an afternoon in companionship, grocery shop, assist with paying bills, run errands, play a game, mow grass, change a light bulb or a battery in a smoke detector, or other forms of companionship and support!
Since 2006 our volunteers have served over 30,000 hours of assistance! We've helped hundreds of older adults live independently and stay in the homes they love ~ One Good Deed at time!

The assistance needed does not require special skills or certifications - it just takes the willingness of caring volunteers and a couple of hours a month to make an impact One Good Deed at a time!

Please go to the website at http://www.1gooddeed.org and fill out the volunteer application , or call One Good Deed and learn about the seniors who are waiting for their volunteer match!

this facility it was not what I had expected at all when I finally got a call back from this facility after applying like 6 days ago spoke with one lady from the facility name Vivienne she sounded really nice over the phone we talked for a minute and I explained her to my situation that I didn't have a driver's license that is required to volunteer at this facility she totally understood that and she was still willing to work it out with me. So I told her okay. So I needed to contact this other lady name Sharon to talk with her and see if she can help me find something without me having to have my driver's license. So the following day I contacted Sharon really nice lady over the phone so we schedule a meeting meetup by a nearby Starbucks I think the meeting went well but obviously it didn't because I still haven't heard from Sharon since then she was pressuring me so hard for me to have my driver's license to volunteer at facility just a waste of time.
