Mission Statement
Shivalya was founded as a result of the dream of several long standing Chicago residents who saw the need for a Hindu community center and temple in the city. Shivalya has been established to help Chicago celebrate the Hindu culture, have a reference place for people to seek answers to spiritual, cultural and religious questions and to introduce the next generation to the Indian culture and Hinduism.
Description
Shivalya is a not for profit organization based out of Chicago that is dedicated to establishing a Hindu Temple in the Chicagoland Area. We are truly grateful for our amazing community that has contributed their time, ideas, and resources to Shivalya. Shivalya takes pride in catering to Chicago families by offering classes to educate our kids about our rich culture. We manage to keep our doors open 7 days a week. We desire to continue to make Shivalya a place where the convergence of people, cultures, and ideas can take place with the help of our city's generous donors and volunteers.
