Description

The Concord Museum educates visitors of all ages about the history of Concord and its continuing influence on American political, literary, and cultural life. The Museum’s nationally significant collection serves as a catalyst for changing exhibitions, extended classroom learning, dynamic programs, and publications relevant to an ever-changing world. Founded in 1886, the Museum is a center of cultural enjoyment for the region and a gateway to the town of Concord for visitors from around the world.

Open 362 days a year, the Museum is a destination and resource for visitors interested in learning about the important Concord events and individuals that helped shape our nation. The Museum's core activities are its public and school programs, its changing and permanent exhibitions, and stewardship of its distinguished collection.

Each year the Museum’s hundreds of school and public programs serve an audience of pre-schoolers, school-age students, college students, families, adults, and seniors. These activities, a cornerstone of the Museum’s community commitment, touch the lives of thousands of children and adults from the Greater Boston area and beyond.
