Mission Statement

The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is to provide trained volunteer advocates for children involved in the family court system due to abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers are the eyes, ears, and arms of the Court, and endeavor to facilitate the best interests of the child.

Description

The goal of CASA is to prevent children from falling through the cracks of an overburdened child welfare system. 45 volunteers oversee about 150 children in Wood, Smith, and Van Zandt Counties.
