Mission Statement

The mission of the Margaret and Luke Pettit Environmental Preserve, Inc. is to act as guardian and steward for land under its auspices; to responsibly conserve the land; and, to judiciously use the land for education and research.

Description

The Preserve provides hands-on environmental education to youth ages Pre-K-Grade 12 through school and daycare field trips & Scout programs. The 70-acre property in Bartow Co. includes a 9-acre lake, 1.7 miles of trails, a Learning Shed & outdoor amphitheaters that serve as teaching areas. Regular public hikes highlight fun nature themes for all ages
